Le Havre welcomes groups !

As the Cradle of Impressionism, Le Havre is well worth a visit in its own right. But its central position in the Bay of the Seine, handy for world-famous sites like Mont Saint-Michel, Deauville, Honfleur and Etretat yet not far from Paris, also makes it an ideal base for groups visiting Normandy.

Sites and monuments

Le Havre's museums and monuments are a great way to find out about the city.

Its reconstruction architecture is now on the UNESCO World Heritage list, and it combines the attractions of a thriving centre of trade and a venerable city steeped in art and history. Le Havre's unusual range of museums includes a Historic Show Flat illustrating Auguste Perret's style of architecture and 1950s interior decoration, the Shipowner's House − a late 19th-century architectural gem − and the Musée Malraux, facing the harbour entrance, which contains France's finest collection of Impressionist art outside Paris.
